Understanding the Nature of JESUS (2) - Expected Absolute States

“15 I know you inside and out, and find little to my liking. You're not cold, you're not hot - far better to be either cold or hot! You're stale. You're stagnant. You make me want to vomit. 17 You brag, 'I'm rich, I've got it made, I need nothing from anyone,' oblivious that in fact you're a pitiful, blind beggar, threadbare and homeless.” Rev. 3:15-17 ......“19 I call Heaven and Earth to witness against you today: I place before you Life and Death, Blessing and Curse. Choose life so that you and your children will live.” Deuteronomy 30:19 (The Message)

There are just 2 spiritual states in life that are acceptable before JESUS CHRIST. Just like in basic computer or electronic states, which is on or off, It is either one is spiritually dead or spiritually alive. Some are spiritually dead before God while others are spiritually alive through Christ JESUS before God. Just as in x-ray printouts, which come out, black or white, there is no half-way or half-measures in God or in Christ JESUS. For God and Christ JESUS, grey-areas are un-acceptable. Lukewarm-ness, though a naturally occurring phenomenon, is not acceptable in Christ. We are expected to be HOT or Cold, no in-between. Life is essentially about day or night, light or darkness, good or evil, born-again or not, and God or Mammon. Anyone trying to live within an overlapping-mix would be dwelling in the realms of uncertainties. That would be un-approvable areas before God! Jesus said I am the Light of the world! So what is expected of today’s JESUS followers, a mix of light and darkness? NO!!! Christ JESUS followers should be shining lights too! That is the reason we seek to be Leading Lights in our ministry! (See Mathew 5:16)

Some Areas of life & 2 Types
  • There are 2 types of ministers: those who take God to people, letting them remain in their spiritual dying states, and, those who take people to God in JESUS-Christ-presentable state.
  • There are 2 types of churches: those who use people to make a big church name, and, those that make (manufacture or transform) people to give JESUS a worthy name.
  • There are 2 types of believers: those that use God to meet earthly needs, and, those that accept God to use them to meet divine needs.
  • 2 types of disciples: those who simply follow to sacrificially serve, and, those who deceptively follow to betray for selfish gain.
  • 2 types of leaders: those promoting themselves above others, and, those promoting followers as a legacy for the future.
  • 2 types of friends: those who determine to add value in-spite of you, and, those who determine to deduct or drain mercilessly from you no matter what you do.
  • 2 types of families: those who make homes peaceful for returning to, and, those who make home hell, causing to fear and stay away from.
  • 2 types of marriages: those who are in it to use the spouse, and, those who are in it to be useful to the spouse.
  • 2 types of Christians: those who use God for personal liberties, and, those who love God enough to give their liberties back to God (they surrender all).
  • 2 types of mindsets, the willingly obedient, and, the self-willed rebellious.
  • 2 types of God: the God of our Lord JESUS Christ, and, the god of this world.
  • 2 types of human-services: eye-service and heart-service.
  • 2 types of lifestyles: those who deliberately live to enjoy each day, and, those who strive endlessly, enjoying laborious sweating.
  • 2 types of love: the type that demands to receive, and, the type that readily give even when unrequested and undeserving.
  • 2 types of children: those who are trained and those who are untrained
  • 2 possibilities after death: heaven or hell.
  • 2 expectations from God: to be hot or to be cold!

To satisfy those who have arguments in their minds, it is necessary to agree that many people live in the area popularly known as compromise. Compromise is a popular tool of today's civilization. It is used for political correctness in areas of community-living, where much of society needs to see eye to eye. Well, compromise is as good as its meaning, it hangs in non-absolutes that is also called grey-areas in this writing. God does not like compromised states. He loves absolutes. That may be hard for today’s society to like. It may also be hard for compromised churches and leaders to accept. God permits grey areas but He does not want us permanently in grey-areas. Anything in grey area is not His absolute will. All grey-areas must be completely transitioned into absolutes, before He finally approves of such.

It is like the state of self-dressing of Adam and Eve after they fell from Shekinah glory in the book Genesis. They were no longer spiritually alive. And they refused to accept the shame of their spiritually dead states. They dressed themselves up, in the grey-areas between spiritual death and physical death, without the covering of God, and in the absence of full connection to God’s spiritual life. God had to dress them in animal skin and blood, as he began the plan of transition to full glory in Christ JESUS. The grey-area state outside the absolutely acceptable, on and off, states in God, or in Christ, is the place of flesh-indulgence, ambiguous-living, spiritual unreliable-ness and self-trickery. It is a place bound for divine condemnation and certain fiery judgment.

Moses said; “I set before you this day, life & death.” He did not say “I set before you, life, comatose, and dead states.” Only 2 states of choices are available. One is divinely favorable, the other is eternally damnable. Anything in-between the absolute states are un-acceptable to God. Neither is it acceptable in Christ JESUS! I choose to live my life to fully please God. And, as for me and my household, I choose life. Amen. What do you choose for yourself and yours?

19 "The people I love, I call to account - prod and correct and guide so that they'll live at their best. Up on your feet, then! About face! Run after God!” Rev 3:19 (The Message Bible)

My prayer, which you can make yours too, is: “My Lord and my God, I do not want to play games with you. I do not want to live in the realms of spiritual uncertainties. Please help me Lord to qualify among those you regard as hot. I do not want to be seen as cold, nor do I want to fool-around with spiritual lukewarm-ness. Lord JESUS I receive the fire & heat of your Holy Spirit in my life. Help me to serve you as fervently as you wish. In JESUS name I prayed. Amen!”
