To be significant is to be uniquely capable, peculiarly important, historically noteworthy, meaningfully relevant, of great active consequence, taking measurably good advantage of given moments and having lasting import, message, story and being a specific point of reference.
Significant people understand who they are. They confidently believe in who they are. They have belief system which they faithfully live by. Significant people understand the power of eating well, sleeping well, living hygienically. They place right value on themselves. They make best use of time. And they know how to dress well.
Significant people understand the importance of identity improvement. They live from within rather than live by false facades.
Significant people know their talk, talk their talk and walk their talk. They are one and the same as their vision. Their vision is their brand name. They are bold. They are truthful to themselves. For significant people, integrity is important. They understand that commitment is crucial.
Significant people are leaders in their area of specialization. They demonstrate outwardly who they truly are inwardly!
Significant people practice good leadership skills. Good leaders have foresight, they also have leaders they follow. Good leaders are flexible. They are fearless (or do not show fear). Good leaders fight for good cause like protecting followers. They feed followers. They free followers of fears. Significant people practise good leadership even before given leadership responsibility.
When we hear biblical names like, Noah, Abram, Sarah, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, Moses, Rahab, Gideon, Samson, Samuel, David, we instantly remember a story attached to each name. Their life stories make them stand out for recognition. A lot of people name their children after these people, because they made a difference in their generations. What do you do, or what will you do, for people to remember you by. What would you have done to make people want to name themselves after you? That would be really significant. Or, what would people want to invite you again and again for? That answer would be what makes you significant.
Like Abram, develop yourself by overcoming telling of lies and making ungodly compromises. Resolve not to get rich by any wrong means possible. Know what you need to confront without being afraid of conflicts. Trust & listen to God. Fight for what is just. Pay every price necessary to overcome inherent fears. Believe God. Always be ready to carry out God’s instructions
Like Jesus, create your circle of influence. Help people shift focus from fleshly living by bread alone to improving their spiritual life. Know when to show them signs and when not to show them any sign again. Know when to embark on ministering harder teachings. Handle internal offences well. Be not disturbed about encouraging feedback from only a few people.
Like Apostle Paul, be responsive to supernatural influences. Know when to and when not to confer with flesh and blood. Know when to tarry in the wilderness of aloneness. And, know when to allow influence of Godly encouragers, friends like Barnabas.
Significant people understand the importance of identity improvement. They live from within rather than live by false facades.
A lot of people are naturally equipped to sing, write, design, craft things, draw, paint, face make up, hair dress, fashionable, acting , make people laugh, organize stuff, simplify things, laugh, smile, run, jump, maintain good physique. As simple as these talents, skills or abilities are, they can be taken advantage of for one to be well known and be sought after.
Significance is about making important difference in others’ lives while you are just being the best of yourself. Significance is solving life’s problems while enjoying who you are. It is about producing products for public good.
It is possible to discover who you are by giving your life back into God’s hands by accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord, Master & Savior, By accepting to be whom God’s word says you can be is another great step to discovering who you are. When already in Christ Jesus, there is need to use our passion, and all you love to be, to make a significant difference in life.
